We are honored to announce the newest addition to the HFG Team, William (Bill) Szlag! Bill joins the firm in the role of Admin Paraplanner and within his new role will aid the team by providing direct support to the advisors as well as assisting on complex financial planning matters.
Bill grew up in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. He graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor's degree in Finance and a minor in Economics. During his college years, Bill gained valuable experience while interning at a financial planning firm during his junior and senior year. Upon graduation, he joined the firm full-time, working in both operations and financial planning assistant roles. During his tenure there, he completed his series 7, 66, and SIE exams.
Recent Staff Promotions
We are also excited to highlight recent staff promotions within our HFG Team! Kevin Pierce, CFP®, AIF®, has been promoted to the role of Senior Paraplanner, Brandon Basela has been promoted to the role of Operations Associate, and Kathy Williams has been promoted to the role of Marketing & Scheduling Coordinator.
Kevin began his journey with HFG in 2019 as a Paraplanner and through the years has shown exponential growth, drive, and leadership abilities. In his new role, Kevin will be focusing on assisting the Wealth Advisors with monitoring the ever-changing investment, economic, and governmental agencies policies and incorporating the impact on client’s unique financial plans. Brandon began his journey with HFG in 2017 as a college intern. While taking a full course load and working, he progressively took on more responsibilities and moved to the role of senior intern. Upon graduation, Brandon's determination, attention-to-detail, and strong work ethic earned him the promotion to a full-time Operations Associate where he now aids the team in servicing our wonderful clientele. Kathy began her journey with HFG in 2019 as a Receptionist. Her motivation, professionalism, attention-to-detail, and her eagerness to take on new tasks and responsibilities led to her exciting new position as Marketing and Scheduling Coordinator.
